The school will organise a range of learning and developmental activities away from the school.
Parents will be given notice of the activity in advance and any additional costs that may be incurred.
Where any developmental activity involves a physical activity or the potential for an increased level of risk to the child, parents will be provided with a full description of the activities, and the steps taken by the school to mitigate any risks. If parents do not wish their child to take part, they will be invited to say so, and other arrangements will be put in place.
A number of overnight trips have been arranged, as part of the curriculum. There are a wide variety of excellent and justifiable reasons why a school trip may be extended overnight. Where such a trip is proposed, parents will be provided with a full description of the activities and the arrangements the school will make to ensure the safety and well-being of their child.
If a parent is unhappy with the arrangements and does not wish their child to take part, they may refuse permission for their child to attend and the school will make other arrangements for the schooling of that child.
